Gut-Healthy Kefir Smoothie Recipe
Serves: 1
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup plain kefir (probiotic-rich, unsweetened)
- ½ cup frozen blueberries (antioxidants)
- ¼ cup walnuts (omega-3s, fiber)
- ½ banana (natural sweetness, potassium)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (fiber, omega-3s)
- ½ cup spinach (nutrients, anti-inflammatory)
- ¼ cup water or almond milk (adjust for consistency)
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a blender.
- Blend until smooth, about 30–60 seconds.
- Pour into a glass, garnish with a chia seed sprinkle, and enjoy!
Tip: Sip slowly to aid digestion. I imagine my mom smiling with a peony nearby as I blend this—it’s my way of honoring her.
